In this month’s team update, we’ll all get to know client service associate Pearse Murray a little better.
Pearse joined the team in August 2024, so let’s hear from him.
Before Murphy Wealth Pearse studied for four years at the University of Strathclyde
“I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an honours degree in Politics and Economics in 2023. Throughout these four years of study, the economics side of my degree interested and excited me much more.
“The possibility of being able to apply this knowledge in the real world convinced me that a career in financial services would be the right fit for me.
“Before pursuing this, however, I took an extra year to study for a master’s degree in Economics and Finance, again at Strathclyde. I feel this decision was the right one and has given me a strong foundation upon which to start my career.”
Murphy Wealth’s “Human First” approach appealed to Pearse
“In my first interview, with Neil (director of financial planning) and Oliver (senior paraplanner), they set out the firm’s unique approach to financial planning, with clients and their lives as the main focus. They described the differences they’ve been able to make in the lives of many of their clients. From there, I was convinced Murphy Wealth was the place for me.
“My second interview with Adrian (CEO) and John (group chairman) convinced me of this even more.

My first few weeks at the firm
