Community is woven into the fabric of our firm
We are always looking for opportunities to give back as part of our corporate and social responsibilities. As part of this, we do ongoing charity work for The MND Association and we also support start-up tech initiatives in the local area.
Assisting start-up tech firms
We’ve been working alongside STAC, a not-for-profit organisation that provides an 18-month education programme for start-up tech businesses. We are proud sponsors of the programme, as we are passionate about helping young companies succeed and grow.
We believe that by exploiting cutting-edge technologies, it might help provide high-quality skilled jobs in Scotland. We hosted the latest cohort of companies at our office to learn more about their founders and share with them how we plan to support the programme. We outlined to them how we’d like to contribute to creating a thriving technology ecosystem here in Glasgow.
Endurance challenges in the name of charity
Our CEO and the chairman of MND Scotland, Adrian Murphy, has routinely put his body to the test with amazing feats of endurance as part of his passionate drive to raise donations and awareness for charities close to his heart. It is a cause incredibly important to Adrian, as it helps support his brother Brian and others diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
In 2022, Adrian raised more than £75,000 for MND Scotland by undertaking five gruelling challenges, including a seven-day “Monster Triathlon”. In 2023, Adrian took part in the Chase the Sun North UK bike ride, a 205-mile event navigating a coast-to-coast course across northern England and the Scottish borderlands.
